Jon Benet Ramsey
Who do you think is responsible for this little girl's murder? Will we ever find out?
Just interested in discussing current or recently past true crime items.....Just an interest....mainly in hearing BOTH sides of the possibilites regarding the crime...Not interested in those who have 'tunnel vision' and cannot see BOTH sides of a crime...in some way....Have interest in ideas of 'other side' of Simpson case...not saying he is either guilty OR innocent...just facts found out, etc...after trial for BOTH sides. There are many worth discussing: Foster; JonBennet Ramsey; Cunanan; Ruby Ridge; Kurt Cobein; etc....
Hi Pat,
I can't believe the way the whole JonBenet Ramsey case seems to have been handled. It seems to have been mainly played out in the junk tabloids, with very little being reported in the mainstream press, or at least that has been the case up here in Canada. I don't give any credance to the blab in the tabs, but the last I heard in the more credible press is that the case may never be solved. The police sure seem to have handled the parents with 'kid gloves' through this whole case. Something sure smells about this.

My first thought on the Ramsey murder was that the older brother had done it. Motive? Jealousy over all the attention that was given to Jon Benet. Hard enough to move over to make room for a new sibling, let alone one who stole all of the attention.
The parents, upon learning of their son's deed, did not want to lose another child. Therefore, they wrote the kidnapping note to cover for him.
On the other hand, maybe he is too young to have done this crime, but can't you just feel his anger at Jon Benet as he bashed her head in?
The Ramsey Case, will be solved someday when the mother gets ready to tell the truth. The contests she entered her daughter in were little tiny dolls of herself, as she seen herself in her sick mind. It is hard to see any love at all between Mr and Mrs Ramsey, there is where the real anger rests.

I have never felt that the Ramseys killed their daughter.
I believe that the killer was in the house when they got home that night. I think he wrote the note while he waited for the family to return and go to their beds. This would explain the long note. I don't think he ever intended to remove the child from the house or try to get any ransom - I feel he was just fantasizing when he wrote the note.
The case is almost 10 months old. IMO, the police have the forensics they need to convict the killer - they just have to put the puzzle together. Now that John Eller is gone, maybe that will be done.

Boy, you really turned my head around about the Ramsey case, very well could have been someone hid out in the house, It does seem so far fetched that the parents are involved or even the brother. It could have very well have been someone just like the Polly Claas killer.
The little girl was still overly sexually exposed, which could and perhaps did attract her killer, family or not!! Do you think??

I don't believe that anyone was hidden in the house. How could this child have been dragged from her bed in the middle of the night and no one heard a thing? If someone other than a member of the household had done this, would they really hang around long enough to make a practice note and then the note that was found? What about the amount that was mentioned in the note. I don't recall now what the figure was, but it was an unusual amount, the same amount as the bonus that was expected to be received by John Ramsey.
I believe that I read somewhere that when a case involves something like bashing in the victim's head, usually there is some strong emotional connection. That is evident in this case, as the killer was not content to just strangle the child, but to then crush her skull with a heavy weapon. That's my HO.
